What if grim hunt cbr

The stakes in "Grim Hunt" will be fiercely personal for all the characters involved. The effects and results of that, especially their master plan of bringing Kraven back, remain to be seen.

Because who knows what a Kraven who's been to the other side may be like? So in the beginning Sasha's actions are this brutal road map to get her where she needs to be," Kelly explained. And blood demands blood. So to bring somebody back from the dead, somebody has got to go. So, there are a lot of people dying in this story. Because of the Kraven family's master plan and the brutality of their actions, the story will also involved elements of psychological and supernatural horror.

There's a real noir-horror quality to the whole story that comes through," Kelly revealed. So yeah this story goes into the horror zone pretty rapidly. Kelly is really enjoying his chance to collaborate with Lark on "Grim Hunt," telling CBR News that he is consistently wowed by every page that his artist turns in.

The way he conveys the emotion that is necessary in this story and the panic and sense of encroaching fear is really great. And there are some characters that you would not expect to carry some real life emotion that Lark really pulled off.

I think there are some people in the story, at least I hope, that maybe prior to this people looked at as sort of goofy or a joke, and by the end of the story, you'll have a really different feeling about them, because you see them as people. Whether they live or not is another bigger question.

And that's something that Michael totally brings to this story. He really humanizes a lot of these characters, especially in that kind of noir world.

Humanizing and highlighting the many different facets of their cast of characters is another one of Kelly and Lark's goals for "Grim Hunt," especially the Kraven family. Their hope is that after "Grim Hunt," Spider-Man fans will realize just how dangerous, fearsome, and unsettling the clan of hunters really is. They are really a disturbing family. They would be like the Manson family, yet they carry themselves with a certain sense of entitlement and this kind of regalness.

They were once this great Russian family. I think it's really cool to play with dichotomy of that. They are creepy. There's nothing jokey about the Kravens, and I think by the end of this storyline, you're going to see some nasty stuff. I'm actually very excited. As if Kelly's epic story wasn't enough, readers of the "Grim Hunt" arc will also be treated to two bonus features.

The first is the start of a new regular feature by Spider-Man creator, the legendary Stan Lee, who will be joined by artist Marcos Martin. M DeMatteis and artist Max Fiumara.

The latter back-up will detail a previously unrevealed encounter between Peter Parker and his violent clone Kaine; an encounter that will come back to haunt Spider-Man during the present day action of "Grim Hunt".

She also has boosted physicality and is an incredibly dangerous and talented hunter. There's also a clone of Kraven, but we'll get to that in a bit. Kraven also became the adoptive father to a mighty alien named Gog. Kraven went to the Savage Land with one objective: to conquer it. He stumbled upon a downed spaceship, and found Gog while the alien was still young and quite small. The extraterrestrial aged rapidly and continued to grow until it towered over him.

Kraven and the ginormous alien were eventually defeated by Ka-Zar and Spider-Man. Kraven accomplished his ultimate goal by besting Spider-Man. He took his own life because he thought he had nothing left to live for, but his family thought otherwise. Because of the ritual that was used to resurrect the hunter, only Spider-Man - or a clone of Spidey - can permanently end Kraven's life. Spider-Man refused to cross that line, and Kraven eventually sought out Kaine, who was Scarlet Spider at the time.

Kraven hoped Scarlet Spider would be willing to kill him - especially after putting Kaine's friends in danger - but he had no such luck Kaine did strike Kraven with a blow that stopped his heart, but the clone then jump-started Kraven's heart with his superhuman strength. Kraven continued to search for new ways to end his life and he was unable to find a satisfying answer each and every time.

He's been stabbed in the heart twice, but nothing outside of a fatal blow from Spider-Man or one of his clones will keep Kraven down for the count. Oddly enough, it was Squirrel Girl who finally gave the hunter a much-needed epiphany. Now that he's unkillable, why not go after bigger and more challenging targets? Now that Marvel has formed a new Battleworld, we could definitely see Kraven - and Ana - exploring the planet as they look for new and more dangerous opponents to hunt.

Kraven has gone after Spider-Man countless times before. He's taken on Daredevil. He's hunted Tigra. Kraven vs. Instead of thinking he could truly defeat the green goliath, Kraven only wanted to momentarily trap the Hulk and strike a deal with him.

Knowing Bruce Banner was looking for the hidden city of Sasquatches, Kraven shot the Hulk in the face with a bear-trap bazooka to briefly distract him, and then followed-up by tangling the titan in a series of adamantium fishhooks. Kraven offered to help locate the city, and all he wanted in return was one thing: death. Kraven knew Hulk is allies with Spider-Man, so he hoped the large hero could talk Spider-Man into finally ending the hunter's life.

Hulk never goes on to have a talk with the web-head, but he did smash Kraven and then brutally threw him a great distance. The experience surely hurt Kraven, but it did not kill him. This news generated overwhelmingly positive reactions, but it also brought an end to the Spider-Man universe Sony was building.

The studio had big plans to expand the superhero's world whether or not said plans were good is a whole other story , and those plans included a Sinister Six spin-off movie. Outside of it being written by Drew Goddard, little is known about the now-cancelled project. Now he's weakened, tired and battered and the Kraven family are closing in for the kill.

Doesn't this sound like a rip-off of what Bane did to Batman in the Knightfall story? Again, I'm not reading it so I may be way off but am I, in fact, way off? Yeah pretty much haha their main goal is to bring Kraven back with Spider-man's blood through a sacrifice Electro made an appearance aiding them.

Its quite interesting as they made a reference to the other story bringing back the whole Sprite web and commenting on how the Kraven's are hunting spiders. Arachne has also made an appearance. But its worth reading IMO :. I can see where one would think the story is similar to Bane's plan of attack on Batman, but thus far, I don't think Kraven's family has specifically sent old foes to weaken Spider-Man in the same fashion with the specific intent to weaken him.

I could be wrong though. Sort of like Preacher. Anyhow, 12 is not some hard and fastened rule. I get it, you think, like, Y the Last Man is one big storyline. Did you mean Elektra: Assassin? Be more specific! Ask first and then vote. Here are some common things people often need clarification on. Serialized stories still count as storylines. Ultimates II counts as one storyline, Ultimates I counts as two storylines the initial story where they fight the Hulk and then the second story where they fight the Chitauri.

It just ended too soon.
