Why warlock low dps
Overall, Affliction is clearly the best bet, but I personally find it incredibly boring, I thought I was going to enjoy it more tbh. What matters in dungeons is the overall damage. If you wanna do AoE need to play a build where you can farm shards as fast as you can to spam imps and use explosion. But such a build is going to suck balls for boss fights. And with the AoE build, its not like you are out-dpsing hunters and fire mages.
You are barely keeping up with them. The problem with Affliction is the experience. You wanna do raids? Be my guess, its a cancer there too very viable ofc, not denying that, seen the logs. So much dot management and you are still under Unholy DKs whom have a very simple rotation.
Warlock was my main class from TBC. I always enjoyed playing demonology. In Shadowlands, persons who are responsible for the class design overdid themselves. Survivability is a joke. Demo typically does well in lower keys but destro tends to perform better on higher keys. There will always be a meta class. You are very right. My guildies are always changing mains because they get out dpsed by a random spec. I always have to remind them that you can literally play whatever you want and do well.
You just have to put the time in and sim yourself. The gear is okay, but it looks like you have some stat issues. Mastery and Critical Strike should swap places. Mastery is and Critical Strike is Upload or insert images from URL.

Simed without buffs and stuff and it turned out about 2,9k. Zagam 1, Posted August 9, Posted August 10, Posted August 14, Shares a debuff slot with Demoralizing Shout ; usually Warriors will be providing this debuff.
Affliction and Demonology Warlocks will want to keep Corruption up at all times. Destruction Warlocks usually will not be using Corruption as they cannot reach the talents to reduce its cast time, making it less of a DPS buff.
If you have a mage providing Improved Scorch you will always want to Immolate. Otherwise use only as Destruction if talented for it. Affliction spell - you will want to keep this up at all times. Once you have more crit on your gear, this gets swapped for Ruin. The spell is essentially a mana negative spell as it will return more mana in the form of health with Life Tap than it costs. Provides Master Healthstone to the entire raid at the cost of 1 soul shard per 10 healthstones. Infinite Mana!
Or at least as long as the healers have mana by converting your health into mana. Can be used for scouting and for safely pulling mobs if buffed with a Heal over Time ability. Can be used as a form of crowd control, be wary of the mob running into a pack of hostile mobs. The Fear can be broken early by the use of Curse of Recklessness.
Banish a demon or elemental making them immune to all damage as well as immobilizing them. Make sure to use different ranks of Banish based on how long you want the mob incapacitated. Instant cast short duration fear. Mostly used just for the damage whilst moving, or as a self-heal. Also, great to get out of nasty encounters during PvP. Should not be used on cooldown as that will be a net DPS loss due to consuming Immolate , however, useful when there is forced movement.
